🌟 Welcome to our Reception Class! 🌟

Hello and a big welcome to our Reception page!
In our class you will see Mrs Norcup, Miss Hancock and Mrs Rowe. Sometimes we’ll also join up with our Nursery friends, so you might meet the Nursery adults too.  At lunch time Miss Wootton will help us in the hall and outside. 

Reception is a place full of fun, friendship and new adventures. We love to explore, play and learn something new every single day.

📚 Reading Bags

Please bring your reading bag to school every day.
In the next few weeks, your child will start bringing home some letters to practise. Once they can blend sounds together to make words, they’ll be ready to take reading books home too.

🏃‍♂️ P.E. Days

Our P.E. day is Tuesday. On this day, children should come to school wearing their P.E. kit.

Kit should be:

• Black/blue plain shorts or joggers

• A plain or team-coloured top

• Trainers

🔔 Please make sure all jewellery is removed before school. For safety, children cannot take part in P.E. while wearing earrings.
Exciting news — very soon we’ll have our brand-new school P.E. kit! We’ll send out more information as soon as it’s ready.

💧 Water Bottles

We love to stay healthy and hydrated! Please send a named water bottle to school every day. Bottles will stay in the classroom and can be refilled with fresh, cool water whenever needed. They’ll come home at the end of the day for a good wash and refill.
