Celebrating our successes
Writing is a real strength: 77% at the expected standard
This is above the national average of 73%. An outstanding 92% of our Year 6 girls met the expected standard in writing.
Â
Our disadvantaged pupils are outperforming disadvantaged pupils nationally
56% of our disadvantaged pupils met the expected standard in reading, writing and maths combined, compared with 49% nationally. In writing, 75% met the expected standard (national 60%). In maths, 69% met it (national 62%).
Â
Big improvement in maths
Our average scaled score in maths rose by more than 4 points, from 99 in 2025 to 103.1 in 2026. Our grammar, punctuation and spelling score also improved, from 101 to 102.4.
Â
Rising results in phonics and times tables
71% of Year 1 pupils passed the phonics screening check, up from 65%. By the end of Year 2, 73% had met the standard, up from 63%. In the Year 4 multiplication tables check, the average score rose from 17.7 to 19.3 out of 25.
Â
A strong start in Reception
71% of our Reception children reached a good level of development, including 92% of girls. The proportion of disadvantaged children reaching a good level of development also rose, from 67% to 69%.
Â
About our Year 6 group
Our Year 6 group had 31 pupils, so each child counts for about 3 percentage points. Almost half the group (48%) were eligible for Pupil Premium. Around 1 in 6 (16%) speak English as an additional language, and 23% received SEN support. We are especially proud of how well our disadvantaged pupils achieved.
Looking ahead
Over the coming year we will build on our strengths in writing and maths. Our priorities are to raise attainment in reading and to help more pupils reach greater depth.
