Welcome to our Nursery class page! On this page you will be able to find lots of information for our class and you will be able to see what we’re getting up to at school. You will also find information about our Early Years Curriculum, where you can have a little look at what we will be learning each term, take a look at the menu on the left hand side of this page 😁
Welcome to Nursery!
The grown-ups that you will see in Nursery are Mrs Bellerby, Mrs Shufflebotham and Mrs Baskeyfield, although we also have some extra grown-ups at lunch time and we spend time with the Reception staff too!
Class Information
We go outside every day, whatever the weather, so please bring your child to school prepared for the changing English weather. 🧥🧢 🧣🥾
Also, it is important that any item of clothing is named please.
PE is every Monday morning. Please send your child into school wearing appropriate PE kit on this day. This includes a plain white t-shirt or team coloured t-shirt with plain black or navy joggings bottoms with no logos or designs please. Our new PE uniform will arrive from the 15th September
Each week the Nursery children can take a library book home, so remember to bring in your book bag each day for this. This book is for you to read and talk about together – use your best roars and squeaky voices! 😊Please read this book a few times with your child and talk about what’s happened in the story, what they can see on the pages and what they like about the story. When you have read with your child, please record it in their reading diary and write a little comment about what they have said. This is just to give us an idea of how often the children are reading at home, if they are enjoying their books and what they have said about the story.
