Welcome to Year 2!
We are looking forward to another exciting year of learning, filled with new Crucial Knowledge, engaging lessons, and fun activities for the children!

Reminders
Water Bottles:
Please ensure that children bring a named water bottle to school each day. Bottles should be washed every evening and returned to school the next day, filled with fresh water.
Reading:
Please continue to support your child’s reading by spending at least 10 minutes reading together each night. We will also be reading with the children in school as regularly as possible, so books and reading diaries should be brought in every day.
Homework:
Homework will be sent home each Thursday and is due the following Wednesday. Our homework focuses on times tables and spellings that the children have been learning in class. If your child needs support with their homework, please let me know before Wednesday so we can look at it together
PE: On a Monday, Year 2 will have PE. The children will be issued their new PE kit on the week commencing 15th September 2025. Until then please could children wear plain jogging bottoms (no zips/logos) and either their team colour or plain white/black shirt. Please ensure that children have suitable trainers as well. Children must wear their long hair tied back and they will not be able to wear earrings.
