Welcome to the wonderful world of Year 1!

Our names are Mrs Bellerby and Mrs Lowndes. You will find lots of information about what we do in class here and on our other pages too.

Class Information

P.E takes place on a Tuesday. On this day children need to come into school wearing the correct PE kit. 

Children should wear black/blue plain shorts or joggers, with a plain or team coloured top and a pair of trainers.  All jewellery must be removed before coming to school, children are not permitted to participate whilst wearing earrings. Please email us if you do not know your child’s team colour so that they can wear the correct coloured top.

Water bottles.  We encourage all children to drink water throughout the day. Please supply a labelled water bottle which can be kept in the classroom for easy access and returned home at the end of each day.  Children are able to refill their bottles in school with fresh, cool water.

Reading books should be brought to school each day as your child will have the opportunity to read to others and swap read books for new ones. 

Homework – Please support us with this as it helps the children to practise their learning from the week. Homework is set on a Thursday on the school website. Follow this link to take you to the homework page. Homework needs to be completed by the following Wednesday.
